Dog training for Anthem, fifteen minutes up the I-17
Anthem is fifteen minutes north of the academy on I-17: a master planned community of paths, parks and greenbelts with Daisy Mountain and open desert at its back door. Anthem dogs walk a lot, meet a lot of other dogs, and live on the line where coyotes and bobcats start. That combination writes most Anthem training plans for us.

What a Anthem dog actually has to handle.
Every Anthem address is inside our no fee radius for Home Sessions, and the drop-off for Board & Train is a quarter hour. Anthem Community Park, the trailheads and the Outlets are all places we proof what we teach.
Shared paths, every morning
Anthem's paths and greenbelts mean a dog meets a dozen others before breakfast, on leash, at close range. Leash reactivity is the most common Anthem case: lunging, barking, the owner apologizing. It is fixable, and it is fixed on those paths.
The desert edge
Daisy Mountain, the washes and the open ground toward New River are coyote, bobcat and javelina country. A dog that bolts after wildlife with no recall is the Anthem emergency we hear about most. Distance recall is the skill.
Parks, pools and the Outlets
Anthem Community Park and its dog park, the splash pads, the Outlets at Anthem on a Saturday. Neutrality around kids, carts, strollers and other dogs is trained in exactly those places.

Leash work at home, recall in the desert
Home Sessions are the Anthem staple: leash reactivity and greeting manners get fixed on your own paths with no travel fee anywhere in Anthem or Desert Hills. Board & Train handles off leash reliability at the desert edge and the reactive dogs that need a full reset. Puppy Training is a constant here, because Anthem families keep getting puppies.

Is Anthem inside your travel radius?
Yes, comfortably. Anthem is about twelve miles up I-17 from the academy, so Home Sessions run at the base rate at every Anthem, Tramonto and Desert Hills address. Two session minimum: assess, then fix the handling.
My dog loses it every time another dog passes on the path. What is the plan?
Leash reactivity is a Behavior Modification case and one of the most common ones in Anthem. We start with structure at home so the dog is not making the decisions, then controlled exposure on your actual paths at a distance the dog can succeed, closing it over sessions while you learn the handling. Most owners see the change in the first two weeks and the reliability over the following month.
A coyote took a dog in our neighborhood. Can you make ours safer?
Training cannot make a small dog coyote proof, and we will not pretend otherwise. What it can do is give you a recall that works when the dog is thirty yards out and a leave-it that stops a chase before it starts, plus the leash and yard habits that keep the dog close at dawn and dusk. That is Board & Train work for the recall, and Home Sessions for the habits.
