Board & Train for the working dog
Nearly every Wickenburg dog trains with us in Board & Train: three to six weeks of daily obedience under distraction, off leash reliability at distance, livestock neutrality, and a handler handoff at pickup. Behavior Modification handles aggression or fear cases the same way. Protection Work evaluations come up for remote properties; not every dog qualifies, and we say so.

Do you really work with dogs from Wickenburg?
Yes. It is the longest drive on our map, about fifty five minutes, and Board & Train is built for it: you drive down twice, we do the daily work in between and send updates every day. Home Sessions are not practical at that distance and we will say so rather than quote a travel fee that makes no sense.
Can you train my dog to stay away from the horses?
Yes. Livestock neutrality is structure first: the dog learns that the arena and the pasture are not its job, then controlled exposure at a distance it can handle, then closer, with a leave-it and a recall that hold under the excitement of a moving horse. We proof it before the dog goes home and teach you to maintain it.
What about rattlesnakes?
We are trainers, not a substitute for your veterinarian, so ask them about the rattlesnake vaccine. What we build is the obedience layer that keeps a dog out of trouble in the first place: a recall that works at distance and a leave-it that stops an investigation before it starts.
